11/11/11

I find Armistice Day incredibly moving. Whether it comes of having had a brother in the RAF I don't know, but I cry every time during the silence.

I find  the Remembrance Day parades particularly moving when you see the rows of elderly men lined up. Men who once were young and brave and saw their equally young, brave friends die. Men who are now joined by younger veterans of further wars. The wasted potential is what I find so sad. I will remember.

The playing of the Last Post at the Cenotaph is also guaranteed to finish me off completely.

Coffee with extra toastiness
On a more cheery note, what does every insulted hot beverage cup need? A crocheted jacket to keep it even toastier, that's what.

And what is that in the background? That is Ariel MacBook, my shiny new toy.

I now know what it is like to be my parents, having to ask how to do every little thing on a computer. A Mac is an alien beast and I am a novice.

It is very pretty though.
