Enormous Buns

Yes, it is as big as her head!

What a glorious weekend - at last! With the boys off doing boy things with their father and a tap dancing exam tomorrow which meant BabyDragon had to stay with me, we had a girls' weekend ahead of us. After dance class this morning, clearly we had to go out for lunch.

My favourite place for lunch is the cafe in Coombe Woods. Great food, nice cafe, fabulous gardens and woods - what's not to love?

AFter filling up on hotdog and chips (her) and chicken and bacon salad (me) BabyDragon decided she needed dessert. Rather than picking a simple ice-cream, she was adamant she wanted an iced bun. Which was huuuuuge. Knowing she wouldn't finish it, I wold have preferred her to have a large slab of the Victoria sandwich but there was no arguing with her. As expected, she couldn't finish it. Unfortunately she ate all the iced top off it before deciding she was full and I really didn't fancy "tidying up" the plate up (unlike the left over chips - they were tidied up fairly quickly!)

After lunch, we went for a walk.

You see that bench there... can you imagine a more perfect spot to sit and crochet some more of a rainbow ripple baby blanket? I couldn't so there I sat while BabyDragon climbed trees in her shimmery fringed flapper dress from Monsoon - the perfect tree climbing attire I believe. Glorious.

Sadly, I was soon dragged off to follow her and her imaginary map off around the gardens and woods. Bah!

Not a  cloud in the sky!
